I'm an Apple fan, but the truth has to be told: a) 3.5" is TOO small to be practical. I have a Motorola DEFY with a 3.7" display, and even then, the on screen keyboard is not large enough in portrait mode, at least 4 to 4.3" is vital.
Why not 5"? Or 6"? 4.3" is "vital?" I doubt most people desire a phone that's the size of an old-school PDA. I know I don't.

The iPod touch probably has iOS 4.1, which can be jailbroken using limera1n. If you'd like to update to iOS 4.2, you can, but your jailbreak will be tethered.

running a carbon copy cloner run of my itunes 1.3Tb library to its matching backup, a first run of time machine backup to another drive and checking for artwork in itunes - its making a steady 50 deg which aint bad for a machine with a 90% load

I dont have .mac, but I do run my own mail server from home, and use squirrelmail... i like the look of the new .mac webmail....
all i need now is for someone to release a simular setup, opensource for me to d/l and install... mmmmm
I think it does look nice. I just hope this is include in Leopard server as well. I would love to run my own mail server with this type of webmail interface.
Try RoundCube (http://www.roundcube.net/). Pretty similar, works well for my IMAP webmail systems. :) ;)

What do you expect?
1) Most people (AT&T and Verizon) are locked into contracts.
2) When the Verizon iPhone debuted in February, we were all expecting the iPhone 5 in 4-6 months. Why get locked into an iPhone 4 when the 5 was just a few months away?
If there were no contracts and the iPhone4 had debuted on both carriers at the same time, it would have gone very differently.

I know that this is out of left field but does anybody know if switiching from a 1400 family plan to a 700 family plan but still paying over $100 in monthly charges affect the yearly updgrade for the primary line.
I'm looking to downgrade as I have over 7000 roll over minutes and save $20.00 but I wouldn't be worth it if I lose my yearly upgrade.

No matter what language you say it in that number is TWO. AT&T has no obligation to let you upgrade early at any price. Stop whining and crying and throwing a fit and be a grown up and deal with the contract you signed. Don't like it pay the ETF and go else where.

If the company should not be allowed to do that for the sake of consumer protection, then there should be laws to prohibit such practice. If you personally do not agree with the conditions of the subscription, then you are always free to decide not to subscribe. If it turns out that their decision keeps customers from subscribing, then they might choose to reconsider.

i never said he did anything illegal, all i'm saying is how eBay and PayPal are operated, 99% of the time (and i'm not even exaggerating that) they will favour the buyer. that's nothing new. and the buyer has an advantage because it was listed in the wrong category, and the title was wrong. it was false advertising in a sense.
I realize that you didn't question the legality but another poster (that I originally quoted) did. I am aware that the buyer will not be required to pay, and he shouldn't be. I just can't stand people that automatically declare something illegal because they think it is wrong. It seems to be a common practice these days.
