This is a sort of repeat post for me BUT for the sake of forward movement, I am supporting this motion forward.
Those who received Green should contribute as much as possible. Sometimes, splitting contribution to recurring (instalment) payments works wonder. This is called small is beautiful in India and Kaizen in Japan. According to this philosophy, if you make 5 phone calls everyday with consistency, you could make numerous calls over a period of time. However, if you try to make 100 calls a day, it does not go much farther.
Material contribution (money) is important to sustain IV (keeping website up and running, maintenance and other overheads) in this corporate country.
However, intellectual contribution is very important as well. For some reason if monetary contribution could not be made, one could contribute by knowledge-sharing. thanks for your post. Ya its my sister's wedding. I had decided to go until this H1 revocation email came. I has seen some cases on IV a while ago where people got the H1 revocation email and I-485 denied without NOID/RFE. If this happens when I am in India I am screwed.
I realize that 80% nothing will happen, but it is that off chance that something happens to I-485 when I am out of the country which has me worried.
Anyways 2 more weeks of thinking I guess before I board that flight. Hanging by this EAD/AP thread and uncertainities of AC21 etc is really painful.
Your I-485 cannot be denied just because your GC sponsoring employer revoked your H1. In past, USCIS denied or issued NOID when the GC sponsoring employer revoked the approved I-140. Do you know if your employer is going to revoke your I-140 or has already done so.
In anycase, like someone else mentioned, you can file a AC21 letter now and take a copy of the letter along with a copy of the offer letter with you. Just go and enjoy your sister's wedding with family and friends.

Either you can enrich your skills by joining some short term courses or do small work (like teaching kids/ day care/ dance classes/ singing etc) where in you can earn CASH .................. I am not sure of your background so cannot comment on choices that you have.

i have given blood probably 10-12 times.
Red Cross may not have taken you blood for other reasons not because you are an immigrant , one major reason to deny blood donation is travel
outside US to a country that still has widesspread malaria.
India and most Southeast asian coutries among such countries is one such issues.
Please dont spread incorrect information.
I have volunteered in sports event, donated blood, build houses as volunteer and have been part of volunteer trail maintainance.....and i am an immigrant.
This country is one of the most independent and free countries on face of earth.

There are lot of places which will accept blood from everybody for lack of donors and do their own screenings. It depends on funding/urgent need. I am sure there was no intention of denial based on immigration status/race.

My attorney is saying they can file MTR on "USCIS's own motion" with that we don't have to pay the application fee of $585? This is something new to me, but I trust my attorney.
Has anyone else heard of this before? I just want to double check as the last thing I want is USCIS denying my MTR for not filing with the fee.

Travel on AP and work on H1B? Have applied for 485, AP and EAD. By the way, what is the advantage of doing so?
Assuming you have valid I797 (h1), the advantage of using an AP is to reenter the country without worrying about getting a visa stamping in the passport. But if you already have a valid stamping then it does not matter whether you use ur h1 or AP to reenter the country.
But an EAD/AP is always good to have along with your H1 as that gives you another option of switching jobs after 180 days of filing 485, when the new employer is not willing to file a transfer of H1.

My lawyer sent me the fedex tracking sheet for the I-485 package sent to:

Nebraska Service Center
850 S Street
Lincoln, NE 68508
I did not see any PO Box on the Fedex tracking sheet. I am not sure if she put the PO Box on the shipping label or not??
Is it a big deal?? Will my application be accepted.
Please help
po box is for usps delivery only. fedex doesn't delivery mails addressed to po box.

There is always Hope. For those who want guarantees even before making an attempt, just remember that seeking such assurances will certainly cause failure for everyone.
Is recapture there? Will Eb-3 or my eb2 date move? Then when will I get my green card approval? Those are all valid questions.
But perhaps we need to rise up above simple answers from a very complicated situation and just do our share, give it our best for the solutions we are looking for. Do not intended to get preachy here, but I hope you get the point.

This is the first time i have applied for my I-485 and i am on H1b befor this and my record is very very clean...
Coming to the address on my I-485 i called up USCIS and also went fr an INFOPASS appointmentt and i was told that the address i told matched with theirs on the file...when i asked for a second copy to be sent they said that it will take 30-45 days for me to receive it...i am really worried..
Since the USCIS case status said "We mailed you a decision on 29'th NOV " and it is not 30 days wil it still be considered abandenonment denial??
Does any of you know whether my dependents need to sign the Appeal/motion to reopen or my attorney can file on their behalf??

The abandenonment denial happens when you don't reply a RFE or Intent to deny before a dead line mentioned in the RFE or intent to deny. It doesn't apply to a final dinial decision which is what you would have got, because (they) got denied as YOURS was denied.
Have you check if your atterney's address on your 485 is correct? When you have an atterney, the decision will be sent to your atterney, not you. If the address of your atterney is incorrect, he wouldn't get it.
You have to get your case reopened in oreder to get your family's reopened. If your's got dinied, theirs have no ground to get reconsidered.

If the PD is not current, why dont USCIS process the existing applications and keep it processed. This will reduce their work when the PD becomes current.
I do not see the logic why should not they process the pending applications when the PD is not current. Eventually they are going to get benefited from processing the applications.
WIth some concurrent filings, atleast if they process the applications the beneficiary would be entitled to get EAD.

After 2 days lated my attorny told me that he got that letter, he send to me by email as pdf file.
I have a question the letter attorny got is pdf file or original by mail(post).

Regarding Status letter, I have seen students applying like this and getting query later. What do you say about the students graduating in May (who files like me with OPT card and status letter) and applying for H1 in April?
You can postpone your graduation but you need to have completed all your credit hours and thesis work if any before you can apply on the master's degree quota. That is what people use their status letters for, to tell the USCIS that they have completed all degree requirements but will graduate later. In your case, since you haven't finished your degree requirements and will not do so by the time you apply for your H1B, the status letter is of no use.
