I'm from the old school of Schmidt Stixx and Powell & Peralta. I'm looking for a board with totem poles on either side of a temple. I'm unsure which of those companies made them Stixx or Peralta but its hasn't been in production since 87. if anybody knows and can find the name/picture it would be helpful (Yes these where the days when the young adult Tony Hawk ripped the scene just prior to showing that the 720 was possible and doable with STYLE).

I'm arguing that both were massive undertakings by both parties. My OS X example was tainted with sarcasm if you didn't catch the little :rolleyes: there.
Both OS X and Chrome OS (and Android, and iOS) borrow heavily from others, either through acquisitions or from the open source community. To claim Google is any inferior here is just trying to stir the pot, especially calling the poster Troll, that is just insulting and uncalled for.
Both companies deserve props from providing the software they do, neither deserves scorn that some posters here like to dish out.
So what ? OS X is Mach/XNU, Apple didn't make that. It's also a GNU/Berkeley userland, Apple didn't make that either. Again guys, drop the non-sense competition, this thread is about a release of OS X, not some type of Google bashing contest.

Is it for music purchased through iTunes, or is it for *all* of your music (ripped, downloaded, emailed, created, legal, illegal, whatever)?
Is it only for music that happens to be sold by the 4 major labels that Apple apparently made agreements with?
If it's anything less than "a music locker for everything, with no exceptions", then count me out. I have tons of ripped music and I have no idea which labels they are from. I don't have any interest in having "some fraction" of my library in the cloud either. Oh, and I've never purchased music from iTunes.

Based on the verdict of the markets it would seem that Apple's potential is not so great...but you know better than that right ;)
When stocks are being discussed from now on, please remove yourself from the proceedings.
It was mostly the decline in iPod growth rate, but as someone said here, the market is just becoming saturated. You can thank Apple's insistence on using non user-replaceable batteries and such for sustaining some product momentum at least. You'll always have a good 10% (or so) of the market or so that replaces things ONLY when what they have ceases to work. This is where what I noted above begins to actually positively impact sales figures.
I'm just getting this weird feeling that the baseline will be about 100. I expect a mild resurgence in the next couple weeks, nowhere near 200 or anything, but at least a 10% jump. Then I look for it to tumble down, where I will hopefully pick up some more at around 100. Of course, no one should take my complete speculation as actual advice, this is just the gut feeling I'm getting from the stock right now.

How are these? I'm looking for a wheel for F1 2010 and GT5 (when they both come out).
I was about to purchase the G25 but these may do as well.

Hey. I got the wheel for the same games. I'm loving mine at the moment. It's the first proper steering wheel I have had and I can't fault it at all. I paid �80 for each of them and for me personally, its well worth the money.
It does have paddles on the reverse of the wheel. I've read many reviews about them being too small to use comfortably, but I've put a good 2 hours or so use on it so far and I have no problems what so ever. Its improved my lap times already and has made me (from what I can tell) a smoother driver.
I did look at the fanatec wheels, but ultimately decided to get the GT5 one as it was in a price range I could comfortably (due to student loans) afford.

Have you been reading the recent rumors regarding the next iPhone release? That's the whole point of releasing the white iPhone 4 now, IMO. It's tying people over until iPhone 5, which will almost definitely not see the light of day at WWDC.

Would it be out of line for me to suggest that AT&T should hire an outside agency to determine what the normal dropped call percentage is in each market, and then offer those markets a monthly discount on their rate equal to that percentage?
I am in Southern California, Orange County area and would say my dropped call rate is around 20%. I spent some time in San Francisco in July and the service was horrible, my biggest problem was with data and the accuracy of maps ... which can be an issue when you're walking around a town like that and you've never been there.

When I called CS to complain about the service, I was told that the contract I signed never states Cingular was required to provide cell service. Competition keeps the prices lowish, but not as low as the junk android handsets and Apple sells unlocked iPhones at full price for those of us with cheap SIM-only plans.
Completely agree, I'm thinking that Apple could single-handedly save Tmo with an iPhone offering just to fuel competition. Android=junk is true, wish I hadn't listened to a few members on here saying how the android system is better for phones. Bought a highly righted android and never the more regretted having got rid of my beloved iP4.

Will it support playing graphic intensive Windows games? That's the only think Parallels doesn't do for me.

In general you won't want to use any kind of virtualization solution for something processor & video intense like this. You'll want to just use boot camp.
