I think getting salary regulary but salary slip after three or more months is common scenario in industry (deleberate attempt by employers, so that H1B transfer can't be filed). I have faced this music, my kid facing it and I am sure many people facing this.
I was lucky to go about it, USCIS did not ask at the time of transfer. Need to get idea, how others have handled it. Does bank statement work in this case?

What are chances of Dream Act? --> No one can predict. Depends on how Bush era tax cut bill goes through. Dems has added few provision to please Republicans so they are improving chances.
What are the chances of including our provisions in the bill? --> At this point Republicans want enforcement. They may not bargain for legal immigration in this bill. Rather they may prefer to add some tough rule for dreamers.
What happens if the bill passes without our provisions? ---> We will still have a chance to have our bill as piecemeal or just sit and watch
What happens if the bill fails? --> I hope they get it done, Dreamers are more enthusiastic than us and unless they get it these lawmakers will not think about us. Also they can set example that piecemeal is possible.
WHAT ARE OUR CHANCES IN 2011? --> As I said if dreamer can get their bill done, and CHC doesn't hold any piecemeal in future chances are there. but I doubt CHC will allow any legal immigration bill until Dems are in power of either of house.

I think, for an employment-based case, there is effectively a 180-day grace period because of 245[k]. Please explore this, which may be helpful for gaps like I485 refusal and MTR.

advantage I will have is I am guaranteed to stay till my 9th year H1 expires which still has 2+ yrs left, and at the same time take second job on EAD and travel on AP. If I choose to switch to EAD then if the 485 decision is against then I would have no option of staying here.

It could be a soft touch (system) or someone just looked at your 140 - Keep an eye out.
I understood it to be a part of the 485 processing that they link your 140 to your 485 and this process date stamps the 140 record.

There is a memo released by USCIS dated in 2008 that covers all these scenarios about 245(k). They have defined the condtions that can be defined as unlawful status, Unlawful presence and violation of status. So you need to look at what category you fall under. Also the only way to wipe out your previous violation is to Re-Enter on a valid VISA. Not AP not any other method but on a valid VISA.
Once you do that the previous violations are wiped out and new accrue from last valid entry on VISA. Hope this helps. Please google for USCIS 245(k) memo for details

Well this is a organization that is run by volunteers and given what they are already doing I personally don't expect them to notify everytime a web fax is put up. I just make it a point to check the website regularly and do whatever I can to chip in...thats my 2 cents...
Well How do you know that all the members who are registered with IV is aware of this Webfax? Did you guys notify them in anyway? Do you expect/mandate all the IV members should be checking the website/forums all the time? No Hard feeling.... Just my 2 cents

1) Since H1 transfer is for the current job ...if curent job duties matches with your underlying labour it is good.
2) Whether or not matching current job duties....you need to get AC 21 Letter from B(new employer) to port your GC. AC 21 letter supposed to be same/similar job duties.
